Building Surveying Services

Buildings are valuable assets which need to be maintained so that their value is not eroded. As Chartered Building Surveyors we specialise in the maintenance and care of buildings. We provide professional services to clients in areas such as; building design, refurbishment and alternations, condition surveys and dispute resolution.

Our building surveyors and structural engineers will provide householders, business premises owners, property portfolio owners, property developers, and builders, with specialist building surveys and structural surveys of all property types, and offer detailed RICS building survey reports and structural survey reports pertaining to the general conditions of these properties, and/or the structural soundness of these properties.

All of our reports contain information of our findings, conclusions, recommendations for repair, and estimates for the costs of any repair. Where structural repairs are recommended, we will provide scheme drawings and structural calculations relating to those works (if instructed), and we will deposit those scheme drawings with your local building control department on your behalf, when necessary.

As an experienced building surveying practice, such services as measured surveys, condition surveys and defect analysis, along with associated remedial works and contract administration roles, remain integral to ASG’s core services. These, along with option appraisals, feasibility studies and our design, remodelling and refurbishment services also ensure that our clients can have confidence that the end product is tailored to suit their specific requirements.

Once the premises are in operation we are able to assist in keeping them that way. We provide asset management, estate management and strategy, and forward maintenance planning services, so that the client is fully informed of the present condition of their premises and the future expenditure needed to keep it fully functional and in a good state of repair.

Having provided fully-functional and well-maintained premises, ASG is able to assist clients to ensure full compliance with a variety of legislation. Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) ensure compliance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, an access audit reduces the risk of action being brought under the Equality Act 2010 (DDA), and an energy assessment provides important information on the environmental performance of a building. These services, along with Party Wall, Expert Witness and Dispute Resolution services, allow ASG to provide a full range of professional services, in-house, to meet any client’s needs.
